How...exactly do you deal with introducing the one your dating to your...participation into the Anthro Community if I may ask? >////> Embarassing, I know, but it's something that comes up quite often.
Different people will react differently. My parents are kinda...dull in that department (not that they're stupid,) so explaining the fandom to them is like....doing quantum physics or something.
You might say something like, "Well, I enjoy animals. I'm what's called a furry; basically an animal with human-like traits. I like to get together and role play with my friends, as well as draw animals and such. It's pretty fun."
If they ask about the sex part, you can say, "Yea, there are a lot of furries that like sex, like any regular person. I don't see what the difference is?"
And if they ask about "unclean" suits, you can say that most of the fandom has clean suits! Suits with unclean stuff tends to be looked down upon.
